Microsoft's Outlook.com nets 1 million users in six hours
I said it before and I'll say it again: "creative destruction is the name of the game". In a previous post about Google+ proposal to implement a social feature, I mentioned the fact that companies in a capitalist market must constantly alter their state, as new designs, new platforms, new everything is created a disturbingly rapid pace. Now there is news of Outlook's new email client releasing Outlook.com, a personal email account that syncs with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. It looks like there will be fewer and fewer opportunities to use an email-only system. Everything is connected - and it's connected through distributed networks, as opposed to centralized ones. Cool, but also a bit scary.
