Think about the stores you like to shop in

In Digiday's "What's Good and Bad About Editorial Design"  we are reminded to think about environment when it comes to advertising decisions.  Would you prefer to shop in a streamlined boutique that is well edited, or in the chaos of Century 21 on a Saturday? The beauty of the evolving digital ad space is that marketers have options: SEO, programmatic, banners, boxes, native and custom. It can be overwhelming and your KPI's (marketing objectives) should steer your media buy.  What this article reminds us to consider how your placement will affect your brand perception.  The more complex the message and the more educated / affluent the reader, the more discerning you need to
be about the content that surrounds your ad and the aesthetic of the site.  Just like in real estate, "location, location, location" is everything!
