1) Exposure
2) Discovery
3) Consideration
4) Conversion
5) Customer Relationship
6) Retention

The key component to successful digital marketing is monitoring this funnel. Besides pouring as many potential new customer into the funnel as possible (ie. highest level of exposure) it is often the case that there is a certain level of the funnel that is filtering out too many potential customers. Is your homepage not attracting enough customers once they visit the site? Are you not focusing enough on retaining customers after their first visit? Are you not building a personal customer relationship with your clients? These are important factors to take into consideration when planning out your digital marketing strategy.
