During a call to investors after issuing Facebook's latest (improved) results, executives admitted that teens are leaving or ignoring the social media site.
I didn't need anyone in silicon Valley to tell me that. Prior to business school I spent a few weeks living with some family friends in Louisville, Kentucky and got to better know young Georgie. She didn't use Facebook at all, preferring Instagram and Twitter (albeit via a private account). Why, I asked? She was coy: but her mum is an active Facebook user and even she admitted her mother could be "like, um, so totally lame" on that network.
Shesh. The kids are leaving just as the Boomers get the hang of it. Tough luck.
