So I was listening "Ease on Down the Road" on my iPod and it came to me - the next hot GAP ad. But I wish it could be a Zara, because the idea is international and would be better if the products were made in limited supply by veritable craftsmen. Anyways, here's the idea:

Music begins...check out the video so you can imagine along.
screen shows "[BRAND]" (this would be ZARA, if they did corny ads)
--the intro music is still going--
screen shows "with [DESIGNER]" (maybe Michael Kors and this is a shared promo with Project Runway, but I'm anti-Lifetime)
--the intro music is still going--
then we see the silhouette of a MJ impersonator wearing the iconic black captain's jacket, black denim slacks, and loafers
--song begins--close-up on on the impersonators face and it is revealed to be none other than the iconic Diana Ross, who winks as she begins belting, " Come on and ease on down the road..."
screen shows a dancing Ross and the words "starring the Ross Family"
screen begins with rotating shots of her children Tracee Ellis Ross, Rhonda Ross, and Chudney Ross, and Evan Ross -- each of whom pairs the iconic black captain's jacket with their preferred look, each dancing to the song in a NYC subway station--Diana Ross sings "and we'll show you how to smile"--
screen shows "now on sale, the captain's jacket, made by artisans around the world, supporting the cause of freedom, the [Brand] MJ Captain of Humanity collection for a limited time. go to youtube/captainofhumanity to upload your captains look"

it could be positioned as a pop over and generate tons of youtube hits of fans sending in their interpretations of "Ease on Down the Road"

if it were its own website, you could collect membership and build a brand association with philanthropy where members get 10% off after donating at least $20 to a children's charity through the website...maybe it gets so hot it becomes an e-zine

i just love the song.

also, i watched the webinar on the new book "FREE" today, it was not that mind blowing. i got the impress chris anderson thinks free is the new word for coupon or baker's dozen. he did make a cool point about GPS on the Google phone. it is the best GPS in the world. sometimes i play the navigation as i walk around the city...and it is ad free
