In March, Starbucks started offering customers rewards and badges for checking into to its locations on Foursquare. According to the
New York Times' Bits Blog, Starbucks plans to use the data they will receive from Foursquare's new "Business Dashboard" feature to gain a deeper understanding of what customers like and don't like. Starbucks is still trying to figure out how to reward frequent customers using the Foursquare application.
