Meet Easy Pairings.

This morning I went to brunch at Harding's, a rustic-esque American restaurant in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan and will never go back. Never ever. Not even for a best friend's birthday. The food took way too long to get to us. We had to ask our waitress four times to refill our coffee. She was generally not attentive, but was particularly out of it when we asked her to bring the check quickly. She charged our cards and proceeded to hand deliver each person's check by calling out each of our names and we had ten people total at the table!

My point is the waitstaff was awful and we had a really bad time because of their lack of experience. And I imagine its really hard to find great waitstaff given the fact that most restaurants don't have a formal human resources department and restaurant owners/managers, who already wear too many hats, have no time to run a thorough hiring process. My experience today made me especially excited to work with Easy Pairings on our Digital Marketing final project. Easy Pairings ("EP") helps ease the pain points of hiring quality waitstaff by cutting out the time it takes to screen a candidate pool for interviews. According to EP, it takes 18 days to source, screen, interview and hire their next employee. Through its online data base and candidate screening process, EP is a recruiter for the restaurant industry. I really look forward to working with a company that's not only trying to help restaurants with their hiring process, but who is also providing restaurants with better staff so that I don't have another bad experience!
