Computerized girl named “Sweetie” captures world’s pedophiles

Dutch NGO, Terre Des Hommes, has created a virtual 10 year old Filipino girl to track and catch online pedophiles around the world. This virtual trap has been designed and brought to life by the Dutch child protection agency in order to lure the thousands of men willing to pay and force down young innocent girls to have webcam sex with them.

Named “Sweetie”, this seemingly harmless girl has been approached by over 20,000 older preys within a two months period (to watch the video and meet Sweetie please follow this link: http://youtu.be/aGmKmVvCzkw). With Sweetie’s help, the charity has been able to trace and identify around 1,000 predators through their reckless use and hasty share of their Facebook profiles and other online identities. The addresses, phone numbers, and photos which the NGO has been able to collect have been passed on to Interpol. However, and unfortunately, the international police agency has implied it may not be able to do much with the information gathered because “criminal investigations should be undertaken by law enforcement agencies”. So far however, traditional methods to catch these perverts have only managed to convict six men of taking advantage of young girls, and work, like that of Terre Des Hommes’, should be taken much more seriously.

In their effort to raise awareness and combat this growing epidemic, and encouraging law enforcement professionals to consider their work as legitimate, Terre des Hommes is asking people to sign a petition calling on governments to crack down on the live-chat sexual exploitation of children. You can sign the petition using this link: http://avaaz.org/en/wcst/
