Here are some reasons why high bounce rates can be acceptable:
1. Blog Articles – with websites that provide content value, a higher bounce rate is expected. Imagine you searched for some information regarding a hotel review. After finding the exact blog post, you read it, then leave. Value was provided and you were satisfied, but most of the time people don’t go clicking in to read other blogs as their thirst for the answer has already been quenched. Thus, a higher bounce rate for blog styled websites are accepted.
2. Contact Us – this is quite simple. When you are trying to search for contact information, most of the time you will land on their Contact Us page. After finding their phone number or email address, you immediately leave. This is another scenario where a higher bounce rate is expected.
3. Checkout Page – a high bounce rate is also seen on checkout pages. Normally checkout pages are really optimized as a landing page, but sometimes people use it. With trust still not instilled or customers who don’t know much about your product yet tend to leave.
4. Customer Support Page – Similar to a blog website, people generally are quick to find answers here in your support page. Either they find the answer or they find a contact number in which they will dial and contact you through there. Also not really a big concern for high bounce rates on this page.
