Here comes the trend: Nearly half of new-vehicle shoppers
in the country would buy online.
According to the chart showed below, more and more people
would like to purchase vehicles through the Internet. Even though Brazil is
still behind other countries in this survey, online automotive purchases in
Brazil are close to becoming a majority activity, presenting new opportunities
for dealers.
Besides, accompanying with
the growth of digital purchase, social media also plays an important role in
consumer decision making process. The chart below reveals a fact that, in
Brazil, new-vehicle shoppers would like to share their opinions or driving
experiences on social media. Through ratings and reviews, prospective customers
can get information provided by other users. If the feedback is good, then the
prospective customer is likely to buy the products, or vice versa. Furthermore,
marketers can invite experts or celebrities to share their experiences or
values to the public.
In the near future, vehicle dealers might focus on
developing simpler and easier app which in turn facilitates the process of
purchasing.
Interestingly, in more developed countries, such as US
and UK, car buyers show little interest in using social media during
auto-buying process.
