Top Style Bloggers Are Earning $1 Million A Year

Fashion blogging has in recent years become a hot industry. According to Women's Wear Daily ("WWD"), some top style bloggers are earning more than $1 million a year by posting photos of themselves.

In the past few years, we have seen a trend of luxury brands and retailers using fashion bloggers as a digital marketing tool. As WWD reports, fees for bloggers have gone up from a minimum of $5,000 five years ago to over $10,000 today. In addition, bloggers can earn from affiliate sales, brand collaborations, launch of own collections, as well as other advertisement channels. In reality, they are becoming brands themselves, turning their blogs into marketing tools and business.

RewardStyle is an invite-only affiliate marketing network that helps bloggers monetize their content by making commissions off the items they write about. They reported that some bloggers can make more than $80,000 a month from affiliate sales alone. A few outstanding bloggers include Chiara Ferragni from the Blonde Salad, Mary Seng of Happily Grey, and Chrissy Ott of the Perfect Palette.

Several successful bloggers have also launched their own businesses. Chiara Ferragni has her own shoe line, while Bag Snob bloggers launched a handbag line named Snob Essentials. Nicole Warnes from GaryPepper became of the few bloggers that signed IMG model agency.

These bloggers' social media platforms, especially their Instagrams, have gained millions of followers. RewardStyle recently launched LikeToKnow:It, a tool that lets bloggers make their Instagram posts shippable. This tool allows the bloggers to continue marketing and capitalizing their followings online.
