Instagram Adding a Status Button

On Thursday, Instagram announced that it would roll out a new feature that shows when users are online. Similar to the AIM chat status button, users will now be able to see when their followers are using the app. The initial feedback is that users are concerned that their friends would know how much time they spend on the app. Users can manually turn off the status feature.
