Intel entering into Mobile chip industry

Intel is now entering potentially hot market: wearables, a new product category which includes connected glasses and watches. Intel's new CEO Krzanich has a revised business strategy and thinks wearables market will explode over the next few years.

Intel is clearly behind in the modile chip making business compared to rivals like Samsung. Entering this market and getting traction will take sometime (maybe a few years). As this space is evolving rapidly what are the chances of Intel becoming a leading player in mobile chip making. Answer is, it remainss to be seen with the new CEO and strategy. Can Intel execute in a timely manner ?
