Pandora and the Future of Music

I used to spend $20-100 a month on iTunes. Before that, I would spend it on CDs. Way before that, when I was a young boy, I would spend maybe $5-10 a month on tapes. Since I sorted out the new hotness that is iPhone 5, I have purchased monthly commercial free music on Pandora. Not only do I get the songs that I want, I also get similar deep cuts that I might like, or not, and would not be willing to pay for on iTunes. Every time that I interact with the program, the algorithm gets better at predicting what I want. What used to give me limited access for roughly $40 a month, now gives me nearly unlimited access and access to new music suited to me for $4 a month. Fantastic, now what are artists to do? Tour and make money the old fashioned way, I would hope.
