advertising on reddit
Companies and brands are now starting to advertise on Reddit. The website is self-described as the “front page of the Internet” and is home to 330m monthly visitors, yet performance marketers do not have a huge presence yet. This is exciting because Reddit has many “communities” with specific niches and topics. This will allow very targeted and direct advertising to target customers. In some cases, marketers create ad copy specifically tailored for one or more individual Subreddit. The Reddit audience is fast growing as well which is exciting for adversisers. However there are risks as the subreddit users are very honest and vocal and the risk of negatitve comments or backlash is high. So be prepared for feedback and experiment.
