WhatsApp launching pay-to-use tools for brand marketers
WhatsApp an application run for free for a long time is now planning
to launch pay to marketing tools that provide advertising service to brands. This will be a new revenue stream for
Facebook. As per BBC news the fee will
be based on confirmed delivery with a cost of 0.5- 9 cents (depending on the
country).
This will be an optional service for customers, who can
provide their phone number for sending confirmation on WhatsApp for shipping
information or boarding pass etc. The companies who are early adopters for this
service are Uber, Booking.com and e-commerce site Wish.
