Mobile search means business

Convinceandconvert.com recently posted that "70% of mobile searches lead to online action within an hour." Furthermore, it said that "Mobile users that find your business online have a conversion percentage nearly three times higher than the same search done on a desktop or laptop." Does this mean that mobile sites and ads are more engaging on their own?  Probably not.  More likely is their hypothesis that the WAY in which people search on mobile vs on a laptop is quite different.  Browsing is more common on laptops, whereas mobile queries tend to occur quickly and with a more specific intent.  Mobile searches tend to be more specific and more likley to be deep in the long tail of searches.  They know what they want and are quickly trying to find it.  As a marketer, if you can meet that need with relevant content, the opportunity for high quality conversion is exceptional.
