Real Time Web Analytics Not Google

In class last week, we were exposed to the power of Google Analytics. GA is free and for the most part it is easy to setup. Having information on what users are doing and how they are getting to your site is important information that can be used to determine the effectiveness of your marketing campaign. But what if you're looking to do something that is more interesting on your site - like showing promotional deals based on their clicking history in real time?Simply put, GA doesn't do real time. Not now at least.

However, there are other great cheap and free alternative web analytics services out there. I personally have been using Piwik for the past several years. I typically use Piwik in conjunction with GA. What I like most about Piwik is the ability to host it on your server and it does real time tracking - having access to the your data in real time is priceless. I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the other analytics services that are out there.
