YouTube Attack Blamed on Ad Revenues

The authorities believe that Nasim Agdham may have been motivated in her attach by the fact that YouTube has changed their ad revenue policy.  Nasim had recently written on her website about the fact that her posts which had over 300,000 views only earned her 10 cents.

YouTube has clamped down on their privacy policy - pulling ads from controversial sites, sometimes without explanataion, and have increased the threshold before which people can gain revenue to 4,000 hours of watchtime and 1,000 subscribers.

This is a testament to how important advertising revenue has become to people and websites -- although the outcome of this story was tragic.
