Shortly after the announcement of Google Wave, it appears that critics have already surfaced about the e-mail+instant messaging tool (http://adage.com/digital/article?article_id=136955). On the good side, the critics are less on the capability on the tool, rather on the hurdles of switching users to this new tool from the web mails and instant messaging that they are used to.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if Google Wave manages to have users switch quickly. Memories of Gmail and how it has garnered users who have been using hotmail and yahoo mail should be fresh, so success should definitely precede Google Wave.
