Blackberry London - the new device for 2012

Yes, we all know that RIM has taken a lot of heat and negative press for lagging behind the market, consumer demand, and appearing to sit back and let Apple and other competitors surge into the top positions. And as mashable has noted a so-called 'leaked image' of the new Blackberry London (http://mashable.com/2011/11/15/blackberry-london-pic/#32089Porsche-Design-P9981-Email), with the first BBX OS expected to launch in mid-2012, it is too little too late. Critics like the design and the layout, but continue to bash RIM for poor user interface, unfriendly navigation (too many searches and clicks!), and some have called this the "last kick of a dying horse." Perhaps this is true. It is too soon to tell if RIM will be around for the long-term but in the near-term, RIM's trusted and deep customer based of Blackberry addicts probably won't want to switch too easily unless forced to do so, or if they receive an iPhone 4S as a gift, perhaps. We'll have to wait and see what transpires in the mobile phone / device market in 2012. Can RIM stay in business, and continue to grow? Hmmmmm.
