Marketers Still Have No Idea What They Are Doing In Digital, Adobe Finds (Source: Forbes)

Many marketers still feel lost when it comes to digital marketing, according to a new study from Adobe. 



"More than 80% of professionals are still receiving their digital training informally on the job and only 9% feel fully confident their digital efforts work, the poll of 1,000 U.S. marketers found"

Marketing has changed rapidly in the last 2 years.  Marketers are unsure of how to measure their marketing efforts.  While many in marketing are using services, like Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua, Google Analytics, etc. to track the performance of their campaigns, they are still not sure what to make of the results.

Many companies are trying to solve this problem though. For example, Salesforce had created a marketing platform that ties in with their popular CRM system.  Startups are also getting in the game.  Adyapper is providing a way for marketing to gather analytics on the online campaigns. The company claims to have the ability to measure and track about the 95% of the marketing efforts out on the web.

Despite these companies' efforts, there are plenty of opportunities in the digital marketing space.
