I would like to share this great statistical report that Mark Fidelman put together to compare different mobile advertising networks. Google with their AdMob Platform is leading with 56% of market share followed by Apple's iAd with 8.7% of market share. This tremendous grow trends shows that more and more companies will invest in mobile advertising as mobiles are getting smarter. Hand held devices like iPad, Smartphones, Android supported Devices and Tablets are capable of integrating ads for Apps as well as browser based web sites.
My experience with Android and iOS Apps is that most of the free apps make money through those advertisements. However, I will be curious to know how it works when it comes to CPM (Impression based) verses CPC (Click based) campaigns. I am hoping professor Kagan will cover this in his future lectures.
