In this decade of great internet development and expansion, we focus everyday in creatingnew platforms and ideas to fulfill a need or bring a solutionto the digital market, but have we ever stopped to think the most importance of the foundation of this massive platform and how it can impact us in the future. Consumer who navigate the web explore new sites, new services, new options and trust their information to unknown companies and people behind those sites. Now, with social network, not only we trust our basic information, but share with great level of details our private life... our interests... the place where we ae at the time that we are among other crucial information. An even us, when we are coming very tired from Columbia and we open out fridge and see that is empty directly think of ordering delivery online or doing online grocery shopping.... All great short term solutions but can represent a big threat. With the recent hacking of the IMF site, its clear that even one of the most important organization is not able to stop the fast development of hacking tools. Not only the IMF, but also this year Citibank and Sony were largly affected by hackers activities and million of peoples identity and personal informatio were stolen. Even Google and Nintendo were victims of an attempted attack by major hackers on the web... So my point with these recent events is shouldn't we stop trying to further develope the web and instead focusing to make it more secure? with the development of new applications aren't we creating a bigger possibility of a hacking attack? Is there a trade off here or we can continue to develope the web at the same time that we are making it a more secure place?

How can we know the danger that this represents if one is a victim of this attack? What future consequences can have a to a company in loosing its trust from the clients as constantly been hacked...? Is there a way to proetect ourselves against this?
Video game company Sega had a database hacked and sensitive information on about 1.3 million customers has been compromised, according to media reports.
The database of the Sega Pass website includes customer names, dates of birth, e-mail addresses and encrypted passwords.
Various media outlets have been able to confirm the attack with officials from the Japanese company. The news site Playstation Lifestyle posted the text of an e-mail that Sega reportedly sent to Sega Pass registered users on Friday night informing them of the breach.
