Content is king, now and in the future

"Content is King" was the name of Bill Gates' essay in 1996. His essay reflected on how the "real money" is mostly driven by content on the internet. 24 years later, this is still true. Isn't it?

But first, what is content marketing anyway?

Content marketing is a marketing strategy that focuses on creating and sharing consistent and relevant content with customers. The objective of content marketing is typically to drive profitability by using a long-term approach to customer retention and generation.

Let's get to the point - why is content marketing "King"?

First, if content is king, then trust must be queen. In fact, healthy relationships with customers and solid brands are based on trust and reliable, consistent and relevant content that focuses on customers' pain points, interests and challenges is one of key drivers in establishing trust. To build trust with customers, we must study and understand them and if we would like to bore them to death, we must use automated content creation tools. Hence, stay away from those cheap shortcuts.

Second, once the content is cooked meticulously, it is time to bake it through the reaches of popular influencers. Popular influencers' opinions and thoughts are typically trusted and working with them will only do you wonders.

Third, solid content is a big fan of exposure through SEO. The more quality content you have, the more Google will like you. You will have to create articles and blogs and even social media content that uses keywords. But you can’t just fill your content with the keywords you think are most relevant to your target audience.

Finally, content marketing is a price-savvy king. Content marketing can cost up to 62% less than traditional marketing. This is while it also generates up to 3 times more leads for every dollar spent.

Even the numbers will prove to you the four points mentioned above. In general, content marketing gets 6 times more conversions when compared to other digital marketing approaches. Impressive, right?

In conclusion, content marketing is the way of the future. It has been for quite some time and is going to stay relevant for the foreseeable future.
