Google slashes price 88% for using Google Maps API


Shortly after Apple dumped Google Maps for iOS, Google dramatically cut the price for others using the online service. Google also gives a plug for its map-based ad service.

In this day and age, everyone is going mobile. Consumers are upgrading their knowledge of technology in order to take full advantage of the great smart phones. Map, as one of key element in mobile, has huge impact to the end user experience. Most of activities happen in mobile world could be linked to location one way of another, from searching path, locating restaurant, to social networking. We could always find a way to link to maps. Google’s move is to strengthen its leading position in this domain.
