Facebook Experiments to Continue

Experimentation and the data that results can be very valuable, but companies like Facebook must be mindful of how they conduct and communicate their studies, lest they be subject to angry users.

It was recently revealed that Facebook, in 2012, conducted an experiment to test whether or not negative and positive content would beget other negative and positive content - in other words, could a Facebook timeline alter a person's mood (the answer is yes)?

Users were naturally outraged and in response, Facebook has announced the formation of a project review board to vet any future experiments, as well as clearer guidelines for researchers.

They will, however, continue to experiment on its users - this time with a clearer conscience.
