Ads to increase to $20 billion by 2016

Digital display advertising is blowing up in today's market. Based on a recent study by eMarketer, it was discovered that in 2014, the amount of digital display advertising purchased, will exceed the previous year by 137%. In the last year alone, $4.24 billion was spent on programmatic digital advertising buys. This year, we are estimated to reach $10 billion in spending and finally $20 billion by 2016.

In addition, there is evidence that the advertising buys are increasingly turning to mobile. In 2016, the forecast for mobile ads is 69% of programmatic buys. In addition, the previous surge in real-time-bidding auctions is slowing down and declining to an estimated 60% of advertising buys by 2016.
