Sony Movies on your Phone

The New York Times Tech section announce today that Sony plans to offer full length movies on AT&T Phones (http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/technology/AP-Sony-ATT.html?_r=1&ref=technology&oref=slogin)

Sony will be the first movie studio to start this technology and will offer a range of popular titles starting in May for select AT&T phones. The article also briefly mentioned that the titles will be streamed with advertisements. I'm led to question whether people would want to watch advertisments on their phone, with so many other mobile devices to watch movies (ipods mainly, where you can download commercial free movies), Will people have the patience for this type of advertising? Is this the best way to spend advertising dollars? What type of advertisments would best fit this method? How long should they be. It raises many questions.
