According to an Adobe study, Generation Z in the U.K. is using more than 10 hours of online content a day! The millenials are using up to 8.5 hours per day and the average U.K resident uses 6.9 hours daily.
Generation Z also uses more online content on mobile - 5.9 hours of mobile use vs. 5.2 hours for Millenials. People in the U.K. are also more discerning about the content they consume. They are much more wary of "fake news" and trust sources coming from family or friends. They also discount information from websites or services with poorly designed web pages and grammatical errors.
What does this mean for digital marketing? Having a mobile friendly site is key, especially if you are trying to appeal to the younger generation. Furthermore, make sure you have a well-designed website that has up to date content and is written well. These things could give you a competitive edge and increase views, click-through and sales.
