Facebook has been entered in the register of banned sites in
Russia and can be blocked if the Company will not eliminate the violations of
the law nearest days.
On Monday (September 16) some users reported that ads for
the sale of smoking mixtures appeared in Facebook. Russian Facebook explained
the appearance on the pages of social network advertising of smoking blends as
a technical glitch and they began removing the advertisements.
Register of banned sites in Russia started working from
November 1, 2012 with the aim to block websites with materials containing child
pornography, information on drugs and calls for suicide. The decision to
include resources in the "black list" is taken by such government authorities
as the Federal Drug Control Committee, the Rospotrebnadzor and theRoscomnadzor.
