This new consumer behavior can certainly be an issue for theretail shops since smart phones brought down barriers to entry that keep e-commerce giants such as Amazon away. Now, the e-commerce companies have access to everywhere where your smart phone has 3G signal or wireless network.
It is true that consumers are empowered as a result of smart phone revolution. At the same time, the competition got more fierce among retailers. Iwon't be surprised to see many of these large and small retail stores becomingthe show rooms of e-commerce giants over time.
