8 Steps to be forgotten

Hi all,

following the discussion occurred during the last class about the "right to disappear", I want to share an interesting and super practical article with 8 steps to follow if you want to disappear online.

Leaving aside any consideration on the trade off between the right to be forgotten and the right of free speech, I found particularly interesting steps 6 and 7 of the below article.
Step 6 indicates that some legal fights could occur when certain sites will not enable you to delete your information, appealing to the "public" source of information.
Step 7 explains that you need to take care also of those companies that track and sell online data. In this case, the challenge to be forgotten is more practical rather than legal.

In conclusion, even if Google allows you to delete results of search related to your identity, the path to materialize the "right to disappear" is still long and far from being applicable to normal individuals.
