Barney and Mike Tyson

Not sure how many of these exist, but I do know that this has got to be one of the funniest out there. We discussed how TV and movie characters have myspace pages, but CBS has gone in a similar direction by giving Barney (the timeless Neil Patrick Howser) his own blog. Not only is it unnecessary to watch the show to find the blog amusing, there are actually interactive portions to it.

Check it out...my favorite is the Halloween one.

On a personal note, I was in Vegas this weekend and had two Mike Tyson sightings. Apparently Don King's former protege is "running" a training session at the Aladdin Casino. By "running" I mean he shows up every weekend to sit next to the ring and yell idiotic commands at some poor saps who are attempting to win Mike's affections by ineffectively swinging their arms at each other. He also takes many pictures with adoring fans.

After seeing him again outside of his training session I realized just how far he has fallen. This was a man, who at one point in time, may have been one of the most feared men in the U.S. behind Steven Seagal. In case you have forgotten how big of a force he was, check out this clip. Now I am pretty sure if I offered him twenty bucks and a free pass to the Barbary Coast Buffet, he would let me run him over with a rent-a-car.

Anyways, here is something you have all probably seen, but needs to be viewed again in light of Tyson's partner in crime's recent divorce paper filing...

I met Iron Mike back in the early 90s when he was the champ & on top of the world. It was at an Italian clothing store in Atlantic City. He was in a wifebeater, sweatpants & Air Jordans trying on fine Italian suits & throwing them in a big pile behind him. The funniest thing about meeting him was that he was the smallest one of his entourage, but the meanest SOB of all. He was really nice to us fans though. I was so psyched to have met him back as a teenager.

The next time I met him was 2 years ago outside a restaurant. He had just gotten that crazy tatoo on his face. It was still cool to meet him, and he was still nice, but this time it was more of a novelty, like meeting Dennis Rodman or something.

My how he's fallen is damn right!
