Pinterest for Business?

Pinterest is a fast-growing social media platform with over 70 million users.  Reports state that Pinterest converts more users into buyers than almost any other social websites.  This is because people are actively "pinning" about what they have bought, what they want to by, or searching for ideas of what they want to have.  However, with so much content, businesses have to be very strategic about when and how they post, and what's more, the more you post, the more relevant you become, so it is time intensive.

After reading numerous articles about how to best use Pinterest for your business, I have come up with a few good tips. 1) Have a Pinterest account. It's a new social media platform, and chances are some of your customers are on it.  2) There are ways to engage even if you are just starting on Pinterest or if your product is not necessarily Pinterest-friendly.  Follow boards of relevant users or bloggers, comment on people who have pinned your product or something relevant to your product, or join a group board that may have some relevance.  3) If your product is Pinterest-friendly, start pinning! Make sure your website is ready to be pinned and create boards of your own.  4) Create boards outside the scope of your product, the more you pin, the more chance you have to be followed. 5) Keep searching - keep trying to reach new followers, and stay on top of Pinterest trends (promoted pins are coming!)

Happy Pinning!
