We're watching you

Thinking of digital marketing one device that we often don't think of is the camera. The video camera. They're ubiquitous in retail stores, restaurants, and any other brick & mortar business, but customers all too often assume that they are used for surveillance. Recently Forbes published an article that changes the way most consumers will think about security footage.

According to Forbes, video is not only good for catching crooks, its also great for mining data about customer behavior. Bridging the gap between the digital and the physical, customer heat maps and other location based data analysis can improve the way that companies reach their customers. Are you happy that your stroll through the skin care isle could end up with you receiving offers for moisturizer the next time you open your inbox? That reality isn't far off.

They are everywhere.
