Most of the time, early adopters pay higher prices for the less than stellar products for a change to try and use it before other people. Their pre-order products sometimes get delayed and there is nothing much they could do.
3-4 months ago, Google revealed some strange, ball shaped media streamer at a whopping price of $299 (While an Apple TV costs $99) it promised an audiophile sound quality with their embedded amplifier. I thought "wow, a media streamer with audiophile sound quality for the mass at triple the cost of Apple TV while having much limited content (than that of Apple's), good luck)
I strongly believe that this product shouldn't be selling well, but Google may be so smart and I was wrong.
Today, Google announces that the Google Nexus Q would be postponed.. I felt so sorry for those who made an order as they need to wait. Until I read content on the bottom that Google made an usual move to give away the product for free once it become available to those customer.
