An interesting article I found when I did some search about email marketing. In class we learned about how to achieve success with email marketing but while there are great guidelines to follow, we need to pay attention to the content and be aware of the situation that may deem inappropriate. For example, Adidas sent an email to Boston marathoners congratulating the participants for completing the race but the message said, "Hi, you survived the Boston Marathon." Nothing wrong with that right? Well, unfortunately this message was delivered after the 2013 bombing at the Boston Marathon.

The takeaway I got is that you essentially only get one shot at email marketing and while it may be the most effective way to be successful, it's the easiest way to fail if you are not careful.
