Just two weeks after taking the helm at Yahoo, Marissa Mayer is offering free food and looking to revamp the working space. Looks like she's trying to change the Yahoo culture (to be more like Google). Ultimately, culture runs deeper than offering free food and work space layout as we learned in Organizational Culture Demystified Class but this is a step in the right direction. Marissa comes to the helm with the tall task of helping Yahoo effectively compete when they have largely been overshadowed and non-existent. Will she be successful? I'd like to see her succeed- one of the keys to success will be ensuring 100% understanding of her vision. What else should she be doing?
