Android team just be able to make its OS smooth just like the iOS.
Part of the new Android 4.1 code name Jelly Bean, Google just finish its project butter and integrate it into the new OS. the result is that the new OS would run much more speedier. Swipe won't lag or has some jittery effect anymore.
Before this, I thought what so hard just to make it smooth. However, from reading through various posts, it seems hard. Several parts of the code need to be re-optimized. Key components to make user experience better include forcing the entire interface run at 60fps, having build in triple buffered. The relationship between CPU and graphics was changed dramatically.
Having said that, Apple could do this right fromthe first iOS, 5 years ago.
