Apple and IBM have announced a partnership to exclusively collaborate to "transform enterprise mobility through a new class of business apps".
Remember Apple's 1984 and 1985 ads? For quite some time Apple and IBM seemed to be rivaling in hardware and software. But they have also partnered on various projects over the past decades, though not overly successful.
With IBM's Big Data expertise and numerous consultants and programmers, and iProducts' popularity with employees, the new partnership is a major threat to Microsoft and the remainder of BlackBerry. The partnership is also a move to benefit from the increasing sales of Smartphones and Tablets for business use.
