This is a relatively expected development, though it is surprising that it took so long to find a way to establish this sort of functionality.  Facebook has clearly struggled with finding an appropriate way in which to pair its vast potential customer base with companies that are capable of providing products or services through the Facebook platform.  Integrating Facebook's social capability with a commercial aspect is, of course, rather sensible.  There exists, though, a risk as well, as consumers could easily begin to feel bombarded with too much traffic.
