Severe thunderstorms on the East Coast this past weekend wreaked havoc on many companies including Amazon's Web Services which stores tons of data for companies worldwide. The storms knocked down Web Services which in turn impacted its customers such as Netflix and Instagram.

the viability of cloud-based storage for businesses. Amazon has suffered repeated failures in recent months.
How should companies prepare for this? How do you personally back up your information?
