Facebook to charge for Offers in a continuing effort to monetize

The latest in its continued efforts to monetize and save face, Facebook is now going to charge merchants to participate in its Offers service. While this makes sense to me, I think it is likely too little too late in the eyes of Wall St. Particularly because similar deal/offers businesses such as Groupon have struggled as of late. It will be interesting to watch and see how this service fares...
