Using Twitter to promote TV shows

Twitter is becoming more and more important as a platform for companies to interact with the public.

According to a recent New York Times blog post, TV networks are now using Twitter to promote their shows. Since people use Twitter to share news and blog posts, I think this could be an effective strategy as long as the TV networks are indeed responsive to tweets and do not delete negative tweets.
