People who loves pet tend to love posting about them as well on all outlets of social media. For those who are not as enamored by pets, this can frequently get overwhelming (and annoying), similar to the frequency of baby pictures found on the same sites.
On the flip side, people who love the pets probably feel like they are curbing their enthusiasm for the subject, and would just love to post, comment on and share more posts than they already do. They realize though they would look a little too obsessed if they increased their sharing tendancies.

This can be a great outlet for advertisers of pet supplies or other products that rank high for pet-lovers. It is a self-selecting hub for quality consumers who are in the mindset of of venerating their pets. It must be pet products dream to have a hub with their best consumers.
