China's social media apps

Here's a pic to show the contamination degree of Chinese social media marketing apps.


In-app network flow interface is now being wildly used in China's marketing app.

If one user open an app and search things, then the result turns out to be exactly what he/she wants and no other control ads based on his/her preference, it will be 0% of contamination. While on the opposite, if every searching contents are all bases on the customer's account information and other privacy preferences, the contamination degree will be 100% and that's what Toutiao did.

Toutiao or Jinri Toutiao is a Beijing-based news and information content platform. By analyzing the features of content, users and users’ interaction with content, the company's algorithm models generate a tailored feed list of content for each user, with 120 million daily active users as of September 2017.

Content recommendation is the feature for which Toutiao is best-known, and to which it owes much of its success and reputation. Toutiao insist the contents of their platform are aggregation and distribution underpinned by machine learning techniques.

Now, Toutiao is learning Google Adwords but going way too far beyond it.
