A great piece by a contributing writer for Forbes on the future of digital marketing.
What stood out most in this piece - as it is most relevant to me in my day-to-day work - is the notion of personalizing sales/marketing emails so they seem less robotic.
People want to feel like they're being spoken to and that the sender took the time to actually type out their message. This notion that someone made the effort to actually pick you as the target for their sales effort adds an element of obligation to the recipient. I see personalized digital marketing and ad campaigns booming as millenials comprise more and more of the target market(s), regardless of the industry.
