Takeaways from commScore's Q3 2013 state of the US Online Retail Economy

Digital marketing has become the focal point for retail businesses. commScore, which is one of the largest databases of online activity has broken down it all down to 3 key points for marketers:

- Shift majority of marketing spend to Digital
- Mobile is on the up and up
- Social commerce is not going anywhere

Desktop eCommerce has surpassed total consumer retail spending, 11% of all eCommece is now mobile, and Pinterest is valued at nearly $4B without a dime of revenue.

Bottom line for marketers: Focus on Digital, allocate to Mobile, and make sure you've implemented Social.
