Facebook Fading?

I have personally fallen off Facebook - I rarely check Facebook anymore.  It sounds like I'm not the only one.  During the quarterly earnings call, Facebook's COO mentioned that there's a decrease in daily users, especially younger teens.  Some suggested explanations include that Facebook has changed in function and has become more like a utility.  It's a destination where people go to document significant events and keep track of others but isn't a place that people feel the need to frequent.  People are realizing the public nature of their facebook pages as it's not a place where people can have fun and truly be themselves as there could be long-term implications of sharing on Facebook and other social media.  That's why many people, especially teenagers, have turned to chatting services, where they can keep in constant communication.  The decrease in teenager usage may lead advertisers to spend less marketing dollars on the site.
